The Platform
Programme Statement
The Ambitious Bio-Digital Material Lab, seeks to take advantage of its central location as a method to influence the launch of its Platform. The intention for ' The Platform ' is to invite a proposal to tap into the cultural roots of the nearby localities. In particular, the villages of Hal Balzan, Birkirkara and H’Attard have been selected as a starting point for an artistic programme, to unfold a series of three workshops. Stemming from a sensitive analysis of Hal Balzan, B’Kara and H’Attard’s context, the Serendipitous Encounters Programme aims to kickstart a series of collaborations, between the local Artisans and Scientists, as a medium to inform the initial curriculum for the innovative Material Lab.
